Science has undergone numerous developments over the centuries. Geography, like an ancient science rooted in great Greek philosophical works, has evolved. Actually, the main scientific directions were formed in the geographic field. Priorities in each science have changed and evolved, along with the science itself. New knowledge, salvation, and the development of living conditions on Earth require quite significant reinforcements of geographic society. Today’s geography lies on the line between understanding the earthly and cosmic nature, and the features of social development. Now we are engaged in special knowledge about the earthly space or some parts of it. The development of nature and society is significant for it. They are typical for each type of Earth’s crust and suitable for spatial conception. The realization of this project is ensured by geographical cartography; all parts of the Earth’s crust study are also possible thanks to geographical cartography. The Ukrainian Geographical Magazine presents the works of some local scientists on geography in 2050 in this issue. Basic vision of Geography-2050 actually is only one: geography is a spatial science, and that is the main advantage over others. The geographers’ opinion on Geography-2050 speaks about deep fusion between nature and social geography. Some separate scientists maintain that both directions have a general base, such as the Earth’s crust, atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and sociosphere, ultimately. We even have a link to research from the 1950s on the stability of geosystems under anthropogenic impacts, highlighting new challenges for modern geography.
